Obituary: Stella Frances (Lombardi) Stecker

Stella Frances (Lombardi) Stecker, age 80, of Brillion, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Brillion Westhaven.

Stella was born September 11, 1945, in Auburn, New York. She was the daughter of the late George and Rosa (Italiano) Lombardi.  She graduated West High School in Auburn, New York in 1963.  She then went on to further her studies at Auburn International Beauty School in 1964 and took courses in Data Processing in 1965. She worked at Syracuse China in their data processing center until her marriage.

She married Robert G. Stecker, Sr. in Auburn, New York on July 29, 1967. They had three children, Susan Fuhrmann of Brillion, Wisconsin.  Robert, Jr. (Stacy) Stecker of Prairie Du Sac, Wisconsin, and the late Joseph Stecker of Brillion, Wisconsin. She had five grandchildren, Katelynn Rose Fuhrmann (Jason Zabel fiancé) Kristine Adeline Fuhrmann (Luke Stiffler special friend), and Brandon Andrew Fuhrmann (Cassie Aschenbrenner fiancé), and Jessa Elizabeth Stecker (Jorge special friend) and Adam Riley Stecker (Cassidy special friend). Three Great Grandchildren Bailey Grace Meulemans, Stella Jane Zabel, and Owen Andrew Zabel, all of Appleton, Wisconsin. Grand puppies and grand kitties Ava, Weston, Indy, Leo, and Felix, and very special childhood friend, Phyllis Barnes of Auburn, NY. 

Stella enjoyed sewing quilts, crocheting blankets, and card making and spreading sunshine and happiness to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gary Stecker, Sr., her son: Joseph John Stecker, one brother: Luigi Lombardi Auburn, NY, and two sisters Mary Smokoski of Randolph Vermont, and Rose Casper of Auburn, New York.

A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Pielhop Funeral Home in Brillion. 

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will be in Brillion Community Cemetery.
