Thyrone G. Lau, age 73, a Kaukauna resident, died peacefully Tuesday morning, May 5, 2020 at his residence.
He was born on November 24, 1946 in Green Bay son of the late Delbert and Rita (Wittmann) Lau. Thy was a graduate of Brillion High School, Class of 1964. He then enlisted in the United States Amy serving from 1966 until 1968 as a bomb diffuser. Upon his honorable discharge, Thy was employed at K-Mart as a manager in Illinois and Wisconsin. He then went on to work as a prison guard for Brown County. He then worked at and retired from NSC as a programmer. He was a member of Becker, Bloedorn, Jensen American Legion Post #126 of Brillion and enjoyed playing sheepshead, watching all Wisconsin sports teams and spending time with family.
Survivors include two sisters and three brothers-in-law: Denise (Ralph) Schmitting and Roxane (Jim) Schmitting, all of Brillion, and Don Busse, Reedsville. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews: D. Jay, Chris “Dexter” (Leeann), Brad (Becky), Carrie (fiancé Dave), Dara (Andrew), Jesse (fiancée Krystal), Drew (special friend Luisa), Kyle (Kamile), Danielle (Kyle), Ashley, great nieces and great nephews, along with other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law: Daryl & Christine Lau and a sister: Evelyn “Evey” Busse.
