OBITUARY: William H. Scholz

William H. Scholz, age 80, of Hilbert, died on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton.

He was born February 24, 1936, son of the late Raymond and Elda (Schoen) Scholz.

Bill served in the United States Army, and then farmed until his retirement. He served on the Calumet County Board and the Town of Rantoul Board. Bill enjoyed keeping in touch with and spending time with his grandchildren, especially during football games.

Survivors include his four children: Brian (Michelle) Scholz, Bruce Scholz, Brad (Paula) Scholz, Brenda Scholz; eight grandchildren: Bobbie, Billy, Jon, Joe, Samantha, Evan, Eli and Emmet; a brother, Jim Scholz; two nephews; and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, at Mark 16:15 Ministries Church (corner of Hwy. 10 and 57, in Forest Junction). Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. with military and prayer service to follow.
