On May 2, a vehicle was driven into Lake Winnebago off of Faro Springs Road. The Calumet County Sheriff’s Department and Calumet County Dive Team responded, along with ThedaStar, but no one was found.
On May 3, Kevin Wirth, 27, died after his pickup truck left Point Creek Road, in the Town of Schleswig, east of Kiel, and crashed into a tree.
On May 4, a 22-year Town of Holland man was arrested by Fox Valley Metro Police following a manhunt after a disturbance at a home in Kimberly. The suspect, Thorn Schiesser, was on probation for felony resisting an officer-substantial bodily harm, a conviction in Winnebago County in 2018.
