Rural Brillion crash kills area man

TOWN OF BRILLION - A one-vehicle rollover accident - discovered just before 4 a.m. on Friday, October 23 - has claimed the life of a Calumet County man.

The crash happened on Bastian Road, north of U.S. 10, just west of the Brillion city limits.

Further information is being withheld by the Calumet County Sheriff's Department, which is working with the Office of the Calumet County Medical Examiner to contact relatives of the victim.

The Brillion Fire Department, Gold Cross Ambulance and Brillion Area EMS First Responders attended the scene, along with Brillion Police and sheriff's deputies. The Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting the sheriff's department with the investigation.

The first call about the crash was received at the sheriff's department communications center at 3:49 a.m., according to sheriff's Lt. Eric Voland.
