Schieve resigns as Hilbert boys' hoops coach

HILBERT - The Hilbert Board of Education will act tonight (Monday, May 17) on the resignation of Tanner Schieve as the varsity boys' basketball coach.

Last week, Schieve was identified on Wissports.net as the new varsity boys’ basketball coach at Reedsburg.

Schieve had served as head coach at Hilbert the past two years, where he was also an instructional paraprofessional working with at-risk students during the 2019-2020 school year. He worked as a substitute teacher in the area this year..

The Hilbert boys were 13-7 in Schieve's first year, the 2019-2020 season, where the Wolves were eliminated in the WIAA regional final by Sheboygan Lutheran.

This year, Schieve's second, Hilbert was 0-28.

In another change also posted on a blog at Wissports.net, Dale Forstner was reported as the new boys varsity basketball coach at New Holstein, after several years at Stockbridge, where the Indians were 21-4 this season.
