Sheriff seeks help finding vehicle causing semi crash

Posted at 5:20 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021

TOWN OF ROCKLAND, Brown County - The Brown County Sheriff's Department is trying to locate a vehicle whose illegal turn caused a semi to crash into a ditch in order to avoid a collision with the black Jeep SUV.

It happened at 8:20 a.m. at State 57/32 and Eiler Road (County ZZ).

The semi was headed southbound on 57/32 when the Jeep, headed northbound, cut right in front of the semi to make a left hand turn onto westbound ZZ without yielding to oncoming traffic.

To avoid a collision, the driver of the semi turned left and ended up in the ditch on the east side of the highway, sustaining damage.

The photos are of the semi where it came to rest in the ditch and a dash cam photo from the semi, showing the black Jeep SUV cutting in front of it.

The crash is being investigated by Deputy Kyle Messer. He can be reached by email at kyle.messer@browncountywi.gov, or by phone at 920-391-7450.
