Sheriff seeks info on fatal crash

TOWN OF WOODVILLE– A woman was killed on Sunday, March 15, as the result of a motorcycle crash on U.S. 10, just west of Calumet County D (Marx Road). It happened shortly after 8 p.m.

Calumet County Sheriff’s Sgt. Nick Sablich said the woman was a passenger on a motorcycle operated by a 53-year old Neenah man. The bike was traveling west on 10 when the operator lost control of the machine and the woman was ejected.

God Cross Ambulance responded to the scene and took her to the ThedaCare Regional Trauma Center in Neenah, where she died.

The male operating the motorcycle was not injured.

Sheriff’s deputies are trying to located a small, older green car that was traveling west on U.S. 10 in the area at the time of the crash. The people in that vehicle may have witnessed the crash.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to contact the sheriff’s department in Chilton at 920-849-2335. Tips may also be dropped at Calumet County Crimestoppers as well at 1-877-765-8327.

The crash was attended by sheriff’s deputies, Harrison EMS First Responders, Brillion Police, Gold Cross Ambulance, the Wisconsin State Patrol, Calumet County Medical Examiner’s staff, and Calumet County Highway Department.
