FOOTBALL: Two WIAA Level Two football playoff games take place tonight (Friday). In Division 7, unbeaten Hilbert-Stockbridge (10-0) hosts Elroy (Wis.) Royall High School (7-3), and Little Chute (8-2) hosts Wrightstown (7-3) in Division 4.
Little Chute beat Wrightstown 26-18 in the first game of the season, also at Little Chute. The Oct. 28 game will be broadcast on WSCO Radio, The Score, am-1570, fm-95.3.
VOLLEYBALL: On Thursday evening, Hilbert posted a 3-0 sectional semi-final win over Jackson (Wis.) Living Word Lutheran. In the sectional championship match, at Beaver Dam, Hilbert faces Randolph at 7 p.m. Saturday. Both schools are No. 1 seeds in their subsectionals. The winner goes to the state championships at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon next week.
CROSS COUNTRY: Brillion freshman Gunner Schlender, Hilbert senior Samantha Thiel and Hilbert junior Garrett Franczek compete in the WIAA Division 3 state championship runs, the boys at noon and girls at 1:45 p.m.
SOCCER: Wrightstown fell to Seymour 2-0 in a WIAA Division 3 sectional semifinal at Seymour on Thursday. The Tigers were unable to contain the Thunder offense in the second half,when both goals were scored.
