State offering new help for BIW workers

BRILLION – The state Departmentof Workforce Development and the Fox Valley Workforce Development Board are offering career services in Brillion for workers displaced by the closing of the Brillion Iron Works.

The services will be offered in Brillion, on Calumet Street directly behind Total Travel at 112 N. Main Street, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The first day the office is open is November 30.

Services available include job search assistance, resume development assistance, computer basics, help filing unemployment claims on line, and services offered under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
