GREENLEAF – The state Department of Transportation has released plans for repaving State 96 from Greenleaf to Lark, Shirley and Denmark.
The project is scheduled for construction in the summer of 2022, with the highway closed to all through traffic in three stages.
Because of concerns about COVID-19 transmission, the project “open house” will be replaced with a project literature handout conducted online.
Local access will be maintained, but there will be a total shutdown of traffic flow west of Denmark where a new bridge will be built.

A complete story on the project will be featured in the March 11 print edition of THE BRILLION NEWS.
