State trooper arrests serial drunk driver

BRANCH - A Wisconsin State Patrol officer on Sunday evening, April 4, arrested a 65-year old Manitowoc man for fourth offense OUI.

Wayne Martin was found at the scene of a single vehicle rollover crash on County JJ, just east of North Union Road.


The state patrol said Martin admitted to being under the influence.


He was taken to Holy Family Memorial Hospital for his injuries and for an evidentiary blood draw, executed under a search warrant.


He faces charges in Manitowoc County of fourth offense OUI, failure to install an ignition interlock device, criminal operating after license revocation, and failure to control a vehicle. He was also cited for failure to fasten a seat belt.
