HARRISON - Wisconsin state Representative Ron Tusler, R-Harrison, said he wants to extend an invitation to the millions of Ukrainian refugees who have been displaced amid the Russian invasion of their country to find sanctuary in his Third Assembly District, which includes Brillion, Stockbridge, Harrison a portions of Appleton and the Fox Valley.

On February 23, Russian troops attacked and invaded Ukraine. Since it began, over two million Ukrainians have been fleeing to seek refuge elsewhere.

Europe is facing the biggest humanitarian crisis since World War II.

“While we wait for the Biden Administration to expedite visas, I want the freedom-loving, anti-Socialist Ukrainians to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers and that our arms are open to welcome them to settle, here, in Wisconsin’s Third Assembly District,” Tusler said..

Tusler has circulated a letter to his colleagues in the state legislature asking that President Joe Biden work with Governor Tony Evers to bring Ukrainian refugees to Wisconsin.
