Two arrested in Manitowoc drug unit bust

MANITOWOC - A 29-year old man and 32-year old woman were arrested, both from Manitowoc, were arrested on I-43 after the Manitowoc County Metro Drug Unit got a tip that they were seen in Milwaukee and were transporting narcotics to Manitowoc for sale.

Arrested were Malachi Hetzler and Breanna Pieschel.


Officers executed a traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon, October 13, on I-43 south of Manitowoc.


Drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle and, at the Manitowoc County Jail, a search found narcotics hidden in Pieschel's clothing - including methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl.


The two made their initial court appearances on Wednesday, October 14, with several felony drug charges laid against them.


The tip that led to the traffic stop came from the Wisconsin Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation in Milwaukee. State agents said they say the couple doing a buy from individuals under surveillance in Milwaukee.
