Two turn selves in after shooting

CHILTON - Two "persons of interest" turned themselves in to the Calumet County Sheriff's Department as detectives investigate a shooting that happened outside a strip club in the Village of Harrison.


The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, September 20, outside the Blu Sapphire club near Waverly Beach.


A 40-year old Kaukauna man was shot in the abdomen and was found on the ground in the parking lot.


Deputies put out an alert for a white pickup truck and two male suspects. Officers found a gun allegedly used in the shooting.


The victim was taken to the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.


On Sunday afternoon, the sheriff's department said that two men had turned themselves in. Both were described as being in their 30s and from the Fox Valley area.

The sheriff's office apparently had help. It said it "would like to thank those citizens who did call in with tips regarding this incident."

The two persons of interest were not identified by name,
