It was a busy weekend for many local athletes and teams from the area. Hilbert-Stockbridge highlighted the weekend, defeating Royall 25-8 to advance to the third level of the playoffs on Friday night. They will host Cambria-Friesland on Friday night at 7 p.m. Cambria-Friesland defeated Lourdes Academy 36-0 on Friday night.

In the Division 4 level, Wrightstown lost in double-overtime heartbreaking fashion to Little Chute 34-31.

On Saturday, at the State Cross Country Championships, Gunner Schlender reached his goal of finishing as the top freshman, finishing 13th overall. Hilbert’s Garrett Franczek placed ninth overall. Hilbert’s Sam Thiel finished 46th overall out of 152 girls.

On Saturday night, Hilbert volleyball fell to Randolph in the section finals 25-18, 25-14 and 25-20.
