WIAA gives summer sports guidance with overwhelming details

The Brillion News

STEVENS POINT - The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association, on June 18, released a 16-page document called "Guidance for Summer Activities."

The booklet is filled with micromanagement of summer sports activities, including a prohibition on sharing balls or more than one person handling a ball - as well as other equipment, like baseball bats.

Athletes must have their own water bottle and cannot share it.

The guidelines ban gatherings of more than 10 people - either indoors or outdoors - in "high risk" situations.
