Area wrestlers head for sectional bouts

Saturday’s WIAA Division 2 and 3 wrestling regional tournaments are history and 16 area wrestlers qualified for sectional competition next Saturday:

In Division 2: Ben Durocher (Wrightstown 145 pounds); Levi Galoff (Brillion 195); Grant Geiger (Brillion 106); Quincy Klister (Wrightstown 170); Kaiden Koltz (Wrightstown 120); Matthew Maitland (Wrightstown 160); Walker Vande Hey (Wrightstown 152); Kaden Verbeten (Wrightstown 113); Ethan Witcpalek (Wrightstown 285).

In Division 3:  Blake Delsman (Reedsville 106 pounds); Caleb Delsman (Reedsville 113); Cole Ebert (Reedsville 220); Landon Kasper (Reedsville 138); Carson Schanilec (Reedsville 182); Brandon Stelzer (Reedsville 160); Shaun Thomas (Reedsville 285).

On Tuesday, February 12, Brillion hosts the WIAA Division Team Sectional. The semifinals at 6 p.m. are Tomahawk vs. Freedom, and Winneconne vs. Luxemburg-Casco. Winners advance to the finals at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, February 16, Wrightstown hosts a WIAA Division 2 Individual Sectional.
