Boys’ basketball playoffs began Tuesday

The Brillion and Reedsville boys’ basketball teams ran into tough opponents in the WIAA regional quarterfinals and were eliminated in the opening round games on Tuesday, February 27.

In Division 3, Cedar Grove-Belgium beat Brillion 51-45. In Division 4, there was an upset as 10th seeded Algoma beat the 7th seed, Reedsville, 59-48.

In Division 5, Hilbert had no trouble with Milwaukee Eastbrook Academy and got a 70-29 win.

Wrightstown had a first-round bye as a #2 seed in Division 3 and opens regional play at home on Friday at 7 .m. in a semi-final game against Wittenberg-Birnamwood, which topped Northern Pines 52-41 on Tuesday.

Hilbert hosts Milwaukee Young Coggs in the D5 regional semifinals at 7 p.m. Friday..
