Brillion city administrator placed on leave

BRILLION – Brillion City Administrator Peter Wills has been placed on paid administrative leave.

City council unanimously voted Monday night to place Wills on paid leave for the remainder of this week following a discussion in closed session.


City council voted to put him on the paid leave “due to aggressive and inappropriate conduct in the workplace.”


Nothing from the closed session discussion is known at this time. The situation is being evaluated.


Wills was hired to be city administrator in November 2020 after a tenure as executive director of Progress Lakeshore, an economic development group of Manitowoc County.


He replaced Lori Gosz as Brillion administrator.
