Brillion City Council change: Sonnabend resigns, Behnke to fill spot

BRILLION – Brillion alderperson Wally Sonnabend has resigned from his position effective June 1, 2019.

A resignation letter from Sonnabend was read during Monday night’s city council meeting.

Mayor Gary Deiter nominated Joe Behnke to serve the rest of Sonnabend’s term, which Behnke has agreed to do. The term lasts until next April.

Behnke has served on the parks and recreation committee.

Sonnabend has been a part of city council for seven years and was a member of the utility commission for 22 years.
