Brillion Dollar General likely to move to Hwy 10

BRILLION – The Dollar General store located on Main Street in downtown Brillion will likely be in a new location by March 2020.

The new site, which still has to be approved by the Brillion Plan Commission, would be between Primary Company’s truck driveway on the backend of their building on West Ryan Street and the McDonald’s property farther down the block.

Talk of a new location for Dollar General was first brought up publicly more than two years ago at meetings that were held between Brillion representatives and community leaders.

Brillion City Council accepted a monetary donation from Bob and Pat Endries for the purchase of the current location at 205 N. Main Street in June during closed session. The money was to be used by the Redevelopment Authority Commission for purchase of the building. No further details were made public.
