BRILLION - There will be no spectators allowed today (Tuesday, October 6) when Brillion High School hosts its cross country invitational.
That change follows a "public health emergency alert" issued by the Calumet County Health Department last Friday, October 2.
According to the high school, the race will be a varsity-only event (8 participants per school); there will be no junior varsity race; no spectators will be allowed at all; masks are expected to be worn; visiting teams will not have access to the school: portable toilets will be available for runners; there will be no concessions; there will be no coaches' meal and there will be no awards ceremony.
Awards will be given to schools to distribute to their athletes.
The high school told participating teams to NOT bring any extra athletes, coaches, or managers that are not directly part of the meet.
Race times remain: Boys at 4:30 p.m. and girls at 5:05 p.m.
