Brillion improves to 2-0; other week 2 scores

Week 2 area football (Friday, Aug. 30) results:

Brillion advanced to 2-0 this season with its second non-conference win in two weeks.

The Lions lit up the scoreboard in the 48-28 home win against Weyauwega-Fremont.

Cody Brandenburg rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns. Sam Galoff rushed for 99 yards and two touchdowns. Carter Stebane rushed for 91 yards and one touchdown.

Brandenburg broke a 7-7 tie in the second quarter with an 80-yard kickoff return touchdown.

Quarterback Parker Sonnabend completed all six of his passes and threw for 99 yards.

The last time the Lions started 2-0 was 2017.
