JOHNSON CREEK – No. 2 Johnson Creek beat No. 6 Hilbert 8-1 in a WIAA Division 5 regional final softball game on Thursday afternoon.
Johnson Creek advances to play No. 1 Oakfield.
Semifinal
No. 6 Hilbert upset No. 3 Burlington Catholic Central 4-0 in the semifinal on Tuesday afternoon. Alanda Grenzer and Grace Kloehn combined pitching duties for the shutout.
Hannah Propson hit a two-run single in the lead to give Hilbert the lead.
Megan Woelfel drove in the last two scores on a solo home run in the sixth inning and an RBI single in the seventh.
