House fire in Maple Grove draws 6 departments

TOWN OF MAPLE GROVE – A house fire in the 17000 block of Taus Road just before noon on Friday, November 11, drew six fire departments from three counties.

The fire was in a two-story frame house, on Taus Road between County G and Pleasantview Road. The fire seemed to be in the walls on the second level of the home and firefighters broke through an exterior wall to get to it.

The Reedsville and Menchalville Fire Departments were first on the scene. Reedsville requested additional help and Brillion, Collins, Wayside and Whitelaw responded with engines, tankers and personnel.

Taus Road was closed to traffic in the area.
