Last Call: Summer band for Wrightstown middle schoolers

WRIGHTSTOWN – Wrightstown Middle School is offering students in grades 5-8 a summer band experience, but time to sign up is running out.

Middle school music instructor Eileen Carlton said the program runs from July 24 through August 14. All classes take place in the middle school music education studio.

Sixth graders will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The seventh and eighth grad band members will meet from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

The 6-7-8 grade band will conclude its rehearsals with a concert on August 16 at 9:30 a.m.

There is a separate program for fifth graders as a beginning band, meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It is an opportunity for students to have a first experience with a musical instrument.
