Local T&F stars heading to state

Hilbert/Stockbridge has an army of track and field athletes headed to the WIAA Division 3 state championships – and a number of athletes from Brillion, Reedsville and Wrightstown also qualified at sectional games on May 24.

Hilbert/Stockbridge qualifiers in Division 3:  Girls and boys 4×800 meter relay teams; girls 4×400 meter relay team; Makaylee Kuhn in the 400 meter dash; Veronica Thiel in the 800 meter run; Garrett Franczek in the 800 meter run.

Reedsville qualifiers in Division 3:  Jenna Zahorik in the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, and long jump; Brielle Ebben in the shot put.

Brillion qualifiers in Division 2: Emily Cohen in shot put; Tanner Schlender in triple jump and long jump; Gunner Schlender in the 1600-meter run; Sara Braun in discus.

Wrightstown qualifiers in Division 2: Brianna Beining in high jump; Jackie Martin in pole vault.
