Manitowoc Fair begins with fireworks

MANITOWOC – The Manitowoc County Fair begins next Wednesday, August 21, with three bands and a big bang.

The Lloyd Gosz/Lee Alex Band plays on the polka stage from 4 to 7 p.m.; the rock band Blind Ambition is on the rock stage from 6 to 10 p.m., and Vic Ferrari plays on the variety stage from 7 to 11 p.m. The fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

On Thursday, the Modified Truck & Tractor Pull is set for 7 p.m. Stage shows are the Jerry Schneider Band on the polka stage from 4 to 7 p.m.; MonRo on the rock stage from 7 to 11 p.m.; and The Glam Band on the Variety stage form 7 to 11 p.m.

On Friday, the traditional Tractor Pull begins at 7 p.m. The Musical Brass plays on the polka stage from 4 to 7 p.m.; Road Trip is on the rock stage from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.; and Hip Pocket plays on the variety stage from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.

On Saturday, the Battle of the Fore Departments begins at 4 p.m., and the Rodeo Bull Riding begins at 7 p.m. Classic Friends plays on the variety stage from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.; Norm’s Polka Band is on the Polka stage from 3 to 7 p.m.; Saving Savannah plays on the rock stage from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.; and the Johnny Wad Band is on the variety stage from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.

Sunday features the Demolition Derby at 1 p.m. Norm’s Polka Band is on the polka stage from noon to 4 p.m.; and Conscious Pilot plays on the variety stage from 1 to 5 p.m.
