Obituary: Arlette R. Eickert

Arlette R. Eickert, age 78, of Brillion, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, September 30, 2025 at Emplify Health Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.

Arlette was born on September 3, 1947 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Raymond & Ruth (Rowland) Caflisch.  She was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1965.  On February 10, 1968, she married Melroy “Mel” Eickert at St. Mary Catholic Church in Brillion.  He preceded her in death on October 31, 2018.  Arlette was employed at the Foley Company in Chilton for many years.  When they closed, she finished her career as a receptionist at Endries International until retirement.  Arlette was very social and outgoing, always talking with people and accepting of everyone.  She was a member of the Red Hats, the Brillion Woman’s Club, many card and cribbage clubs, and could play any type of card game.  In their younger years, she and Mel would golf.  Arlette was also an avid reader, enjoyed watching the Brewers, Packers, and Badgers, and loved to socialize with her family and friends.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law: Arthur “Art” (Ann) Caflisch of Brillion, Armen (Lana) Caflisch of Madison, and Alden (Bridget) Caflisch of Oshkosh; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; other relatives, and many dear friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mel; her parents: Raymond & Ruth; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Melvin & Irene (Dallmann) Eickert; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Ronae (Herb) Schultz, and other relatives.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion.  Officiating will be Father Matt Colle and Deacon Greg VanThiel.  Burial will be in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, town of Brillion.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
