Aubrey Lin Schmitt, 2, of Reedsville passed away unexpectedly in her sleep of unknown causes on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

Aubrey was born on September 15, 2023 at Aurora Memorial Medical Center Manitowoc County to Adam and Brianna (Robley) Schmitt.

From the moment God placed Aubrey in our lives, it was clear to everyone that she was someone truly special.  She was full of life in every sense of the word—silly, witty, charismatic, funny, and endlessly personable. She had a rare gift: the ability to make every ordinary, boring moment feel like an adventure. Wherever she went, infectious joy followed.

Aubrey effortlessly made friends with both children and adults everywhere she went. She had a captivating personality, connected with others, loved being the star of the show, and cherished one-on one-time with those who loved her.  Aubrey adored the simple joys of being two. She loved playing with her baby dolls, caring for them with a tenderness beyond her years. She enjoyed swimming in her pond, riding on the four-wheeler to go see the cows, and snuggling up to read endless amounts of books-always seeing how high of a stack we could make after reading each one.

One of her greatest joys was her “pure bred good boy” golden retriever, Archie. Their bond was sweet- full of giggles, hugs, and the kind of uncomplicated love only a child and her dog can share. Aubrey was also so proud to be a new big sister to baby Autumn. She embraced that role with excitement and love, already showing a heart shaped by kindness and tenderness. Aubrey was eager to make suggestions as to how to best help and soothe her baby sister and truly loved being a helper and always loving her unconditionally.

Aubrey had the sweetest bond with both her mom and dad. She adored going on daily adventures, reading books, and simply spending every day with her mom. Aubrey loved being silly, making up games that ended in belly laughs, and being so openly loved and adored by her dad. They were able to make fun out of the most ordinary tasks- truly loving their time together.

Though her life was brief, her impact was immeasurable. Everyone who met Aubrey instantly fell in love with her. She brought laughter and smiles everywhere she went. Our world is quieter without her, but forever brighter because of her. Aubrey will be deeply missed every moment of every day by her parents, her baby sister Autumn, her family, and all who were blessed enough to know and love her. We will carry her spirit in every smile, every splash of water, and every ride past the cows.

Aubrey is survived by her loving parents: Adam and Brianna Schmitt; her baby sister: Autumn; grandparents: Bruce and Lin Robley, and Brenda and Bob Van Daalwyk; godparents and uncle and aunt: Zach and Alyssa Robley, Uncle: Justin Schmitt; cousins: Vivian, Isaac, and Anna Robley; great-grandparents: Eunice Waack and Roger Schmitt. Aubrey was preceded in death by Adam's dad: grandpa Doug Schmitt; and great-grandparents.
