Obituary: Bonnie L. Monty

Bonnie L. Monty, age 79, of Chilton, passed away peacefully at Willowdale Health and Rehabilitation Center in New Holstein on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

 




Bonnie was born on January 10, 1945 in Rantoul, daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth (Bettner) Aplin. She married Kenneth Monty on September 27, 1983 at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Neenah.

 

Bonnie enjoyed camping, spending time at church doing various activities, was an animal lover, but especially loved spending time with her family.  

Survivors include her husband: Kenneth of Chilton; children: Raymond (Rhonda) Brantmeier of Neenah, Darrin (Wendy) Brantmeier of Florida, and Heidi Brantmeier of Wisconsin Rapids; grandchildren: Ian, Nathan, Natalie, Noah, Samantha, Natassia, Alicia; great-grandchildren: Kadin, Kaleah, Kannon, Aubree, Matthew, and Michael; one sister and brother-in-law: Darlene (Jerome) Mertz of Potter; special nephew: Richard Nevenhoven; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. 

 

She was preceded in death by twin granddaughters: Hannah and Faith Brantmeier; sisters: Betty (Royal) Becker, Janice (Harvey) Hartz, Dolores (Willard) Knoespel; brothers: Eugene (Delores) Aplin, Jerome (Nancy) Aplin, and James (Audrey) Aplin; father-in-law: Vernie Vincent “Rocky” Monty; mother-in-law: Dorothy Gates Thielen; in-laws: Barbara Monty, Rose Marie Thielen, and Robert Thielen; and other relatives.

 

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Peace Evangelical and Reformed in Potter.  Rev. Dr. Marc Axelrod will officiate.  Burial will be in the Potter Cemetery in the town of Rantoul at a later date.

 

Friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorials are appreciated to Peace Ev. and Reformed in Potter or the American Cancer Society in Bonnie’s name.
