OBITUARY: Carol J. Holtz

Carol J. Holtz, age 72, of Forest Junction, entered her heavenly home on Friday, March 27, 2020 surrounded by her children. 

Carol was born on October 23, 1947, daughter of the late Delmar and Ruby (Mathes) Richter.  She married Donald Holtz on January 25, 1964.  He preceded her in death on June 3, 2018.  Carol will be remembered as a God loving woman, great wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She has an exceptional sense of humor and touched the lives of everyone that knew her.  She will be remembered for her great cooking, kind and loving heart, and hard work ethic.  She always gave more of herself than she wanted in return.   

Carol is survived by her children and spouses: Kurt (Linda) Holtz, Lori (Ken) Nushart, and Angela (Tim) Brey; grandchildren: Jake, Jeremy, and Josh Nushart, Dylan Holtz, and Leah and Lydia Brey; step-grandchildren: Lee Roehl, Travis (Heidi) Roehl; great-granddaughter: Ava Brey; step-great-granddaughter: Jill Roehl; siblings: Glen (Sharon) Richter, Joan (Allen) Behnke, Ardyce (John) Svatek, Barb (Steve) Keltesch; in-laws: Betty Brehmer, Dick (Joyce) Holtz, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Don, her parents, Delmar and Ruby Richter, her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Lyle and Frieda (Schmidt) Holtz, one sister-in-law: Joann Steinbach-Burns, and one brother-in-law: Roger Brehmer.

A private family committal will be held and a public visitation and service will be held at a later date.
