Obituary: Constance L. “Connie” Schiesl

Constance L. “Connie” Schiesl, age 73 of Reedsville passed away Friday morning, August 26, 2022 at home with her family.


Connie was born on July 1, 1949 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Royal and Florence (Haelfrisch) Schultz. She grew up in the Reedsville area and was a 1967 graduate of Reedsville High School. On April 18, 1970 Connie was married to John “Jack” Schiesl at Faith Lutheran Church in Valders. Connie worked for 33 years retiring in 2017 from the Ariens Company in Brillion as an Administrative Assistant.

Connie was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Valders. She enjoyed reading, watching her grandchildren in all of their events, making lap blankets for people in nursing homes and loved going out for lunch with her lunch groups known as “The Golden Girls” and “RHS Girls Group of 67” and spending time with her close friend, Mary Fenlon.

Survivors include her husband: Jack Schiesl, Reedsville; two daughters and one son-in-law: Vicki (Jerry) Petska, Reedsville, Nicole Hoffmann, Green Bay; four grandchildren: Jared Petska (Kaitlin Taddy), Oshkosh, Isaac Petska (Nichole Lorrigan), De Pere, Ava Petska, Reedsville, Aiden Hoffmann, Green Bay; one sister: Joan Kanter, Reedsville; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Ric (Cyndee) Schultz, Reedsville, Kevin Schultz, Reedsville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include: Don Schiesl and his special friend, Mary, Eagle River, Barb Schiesl, Manitowoc, Nick (Janice) Schiesl, Menchalville, Dorothy Baumann, Kiel; three Godchildren: Todd Kanter, Sue Schiesl, Megan Bierhals, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Royal and Florence Schultz; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Nicholas and Hilda Schiesl; three brothers-in-law: Donald Kanter, Leonard Schiesl, Gary Baumann; two sisters-in-law: Barb Schultz, Mary Schiesl; three nephews: Terry Schiesl, Benjamin Schultz, Anthony Schultz.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Faith Lutheran Church, 225 Roosevelt Street, Valders. The Rev. Jim Wilson will officiate with cremation to follow. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM. The family would like to thank Dr. Guntupalli, Unity Hospice, the nurses at Bellin Cancer Center and Pastor Jim Wilson for his visits. The family would also like to thank all of Connie’s friends and relatives for their texts, calls, visits and their kindness over the last few weeks and months.
