OBITUARY: Debra A. (Steinfest) Bons

Debra A. Bons, age 61, of Prescott, Arizona, formerly of Brillion, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 27, 2017.

Debbie was born on June 23, 1956, in Green Bay, the daughter of James and Sallie (Schmelter) Steinfest. She graduated from Brillion High School in 1974, and on December 1, 1978, Debbie married Steve Bons at St. Mary’s Church, Brillion. Debbie graduated from Yavapai College with a nursing degree on December 11, 2005.

Debbie loved spending time with family and caring for her grandchildren. She enjoyed arts and crafts projects, sewing and cake decorating. Debbie and her family spent many years traveling and living throughout the United States; also in Egypt and Guatemala. Her unselfishness, amazing listening skills, warm heart, and positive outlook will truly be missed by everyone who knew her.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 39 years, Steve; her 3 children: Nicholas (Jodi) of Phoenix, Ariz., Stephanie Turbyfill of Prescott, Ariz., and Daniel (Catherine) of Phoenix, Ariz.; as well as her beloved grandchildren Jacob and Katelyn Bons, Brooklyn and Brynley Turbyfill, and Mariella and Antonio Bons. Debbie is also survived by her father and step-mother Jim (Rae Marie) Steinfest; her sisters Cheri (Jim) Sickinger, Gale (Gary) Gill, Judy (Todd) Doughty, Amy (Bob) Kalies, Pam (Keith) Verstegen; one brother Mark (Roxi) Steinfest; brothers-in-law Larry (Connie) Bons and Jim Bons, and sisters-in-law Kris (Guy) Breit and Carrie Bons. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Debbie was preceded in death by her mother Sallie Steinfest, her son-in-law Travis Turbyfill, her in-laws Jake and Percy Bons and other family and friends.
