Howard Lee Lindner, Age 81 of Woodstock IL, formally of Brillion WI and Surprise AZ passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024
Howard, affectionally known as Howie, was born on May 17, 1943 in Brillion WI the son of the late Gilbert and Bernice (O Connell) Lindner.
He graduated from Brillion High School and then served in the U.S. Navy as a member of the HASP(Hawaiian Arm Shore Patrol) during the Vietnam War. After his
Honorable discharge, he worked for the State of Wisconsin as a meat inspector. Met and married. Beverely (Kehrwald/Storino) and began working for the U.S. Postal
Service from which he later retired.
Howie was a member of the American Legion for 50 Years.
He loved NASCAR, puzzles, jokes and especially his family.
Survivors his children: Rosemary (Donald)Born of Sherwood WI, Beverly (Chuck Brick) Storino of Key West FL, Bernadette (Ross) Prochnow of Appleton, WI
ED (Lori Lindner) Lindner of Mebane NC, Raquel (Tim Sullivan) Hanson of Woodstock IL. His grandchildren: Kate (Nathan) Schnell, Amber (Matt) Palmer, Jacob (Ashlee) Prochnow, Sasha Prochnow, Jordan (Lizzy) Prochnow, Breanna (Cary Reis) Lindner, Michelle Hanson Dylan, Chandler Sullivan and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Beverely, his brother Robert Lindner, his daughter, Angel Lindner and his grandson Christopher Born.
A funeral service with Military Honors was held on Tuesday May 28, 2024 at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N Seminary Ave, Woodstock IL.
Dad, you are now with Mom after 17 years being apart.
You were a great Father and supported all of us and our families throughout the years. You will be with us forever and we will miss you and love you always.
