Obituary: Jason Scott Edinger

Jason Scott Edinger, age 49, entered his home in heaven on July 5, 2022, with his wife at his side at home in Spooner, WI.


Jason was born on April 10, 1973, and was baptized on May 6, 1973, and was confirmed in his faith on May 24, 1986, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion, WI. Jason kept his faith in JESUS even after battling with a long-term illness.

Jason attended Brillion High School and after he worked for a number of companies including Tecumseh Products, Manitowoc Aluminum Foundry, Rice Lake Weighing Systems, T&T Tool, Concor Tool & Machine as a machinist.

March 30, 2015, he married Janice Thompson in Spooner, WI. They had a love for animals, especially their three dogs (Bear, Maddie, and Ryder) who are a big part of their family.

Jason is survived by his wife of 7 years, Janice; parents, Mel and Donna Edinger of Brillion; sister, Andria (Craig) Orth of Brillion; nephews Jared (Kelsie) Orth of Cross Plains, WI, and Zachary Orth of Brillion; brother-in-law Steve Thompson; and father-in-law Larry Thompson; and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Jeffery and Jamie Thompson.

Visitation was held on Friday July 8, 2022, at the Spooner Funeral Home, in Spooner, WI. A memorial service was held on Monday, July 11 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion, WI with an interment at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
