Obituary: Jeffrey Alan Meulemans

Jeffrey Alan Meulemans, age 61, of Reedsville, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024 with his partner Ivan by his side after a courageous battle with cancer for the past year and is now at peace with his Lord and Savior.




Jeff was born on April 10, 1963 in Manitowoc, son of the late Robert and Barbara (Kubale) Meulemans.  He was a graduate of Reedsville High School where he enjoyed performing in plays and musicals.  Jeff started his employment with Krueger Lumber in his younger years, and then later went on to work at Tadych’s Food Market in the deli.  Jeff enjoyed cooking and baking, and especially making tortes.  He was known as the “Torte King” in the deli.  Jeff also enjoyed gardening, flowers and his many pets over the years.

Jeff is survived by his domestic partner of 25 years, Ivan Hanson of Reedsville; his brother: Mike (special friend Carli) Meulemans of Muskegon, MI; Ivan’s brothers and sisters; aunts and uncles: Donna (Terry) Meulemans and Bernard (Karen) Kubale; many cousins, other relatives; and friends.  

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents: Robert & Barbara “Coo-See” Meulemans; his grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Brillion. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Pomeroy and Rev. Tim Coonen (Jeff’s cousin). Burial will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Reedsville.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, August 16, 2024 at church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
