Obituary: Jerome "Jerry" W Vondrachek

Jerome "Jerry" W Vondrachek, age 90, of Brillion, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Shady Lane in Manitowoc.

Jerry was born January 6, 1936, in Reedsville, son of the late Charles C & Veronica (Geigel) Vondrachek.  He was salutatorian of Reedsville High School, class of 1954.  On August 20, 1966, he married Julie Eiting at St. Mary Catholic Church in Brillion.

Jerry worked 44 years at the Brillion Iron Works. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion, was a trustee and member of multiple church committees over the years and sang with the Holy Family choir.  He was a member and past treasurer of the St. Vincent de Paul Brillion Food Pantry. He was a member and past treasurer of the Brillion Lions Club. He enjoyed bowling, trips with Julie for sightseeing and sporting events. He was a Packer season ticket holder, attending the Ice Bowl and missing only 4 home games over 50 years. He also enjoyed watching Brewers, Bucks and Badgers games.  He enjoyed genealogy, adding over 15,000 people to the family tree.

Jerry is survived by his wife: Julie; their children: Sara (Steve) Brault, Dennis, Amy (Buddy) Roggenbauer and granddaughter: Kristen; sisters: Anne (James) Beasley and Teresa (Orrin) Piepenburg.  In-laws: Sandy (John) Mayer, Terry (Danette) Eiting; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Julie's parents: Ed Eiting and Charlotte (Orv) Lehman; sisters: Rita (Jurgen) Vincent, Mary (Bill) Egan, Catherine (Don) Otte; brothers: Jim and Gerald; in-laws: Timm Eiting, Thomas (Kaye) Eiting, James Hartnett.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, April 24, 2026 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. Officiating will be Fr. Matt Colle and Deacon Greg Van Thiel.  The family will greet relatives and friends before Mass from 9:00 am until 10:45 am. Inurnment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery, Brillion.

Jerry lived a grateful life. Special thanks to the staff of Shady Lane/Laurel Grove in Manitowoc for the compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brillion Food Pantry.

Pielhop Funeral Homes of Brillion and Reedsville is assisting the family.
