OBITUARY: LaVerne B. Brandenburg

LaVerne B. Brandenburg, age 89, (formally of Morrison) peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017.


She was born May 9, 1927 to the late Reinhold and Martha (Bubolz) Kriehn.  On March 3, 1946 she married Milton Brandenburg at Morrison Zion Lutheran Church.  For many years she farmed with Milton and raised her family in the Wayside area. She was also an active member at Wayside Zion Lutheran Church, where she volunteered with the Ladies Aid, quilting groups and other activities. LaVerne was a care giver to her Mother and Mother-In-Law in their later years.

Survivors are her children:  Lloyd (Jackie) Brandenburg of Morrison, Paul Brandenburg of Wayside, Linda (Dave) Schweiner of Green Bay and Ken Brandenburg of Sheboygan.  Grandchildren:  Michael (Maria) Brandenburg, Melissa (Troy) Warnecke and Patricia (Marvin Jr.) Biese and great-grandchildren:  Josh and Gary Brandenburg, Heidi and Leah Warnecke, Kaitlyn, Kyle and Kevin Biese, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Milton, her infant son Howard, a son Ron and a daughter-in-law, Debra Brandenburg, as well as her in-laws.

Family and friends may visit at Wayside Zion Lutheran Church, 8378 Cty. Rd W  Greenleaf (Wayside) on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 9:00–11:00 am.  Funeral service will be at 11:00, with Pastor Austin Welter presiding.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Our family would like to extend a special thank you to family, friends and neighbors who helped LaVerne to stay in her home as long as she was able.  We also would like to thank the care-givers at Parkview Estates and Odd Fellow Home.
