Linda L. Giese, age 74, of Greenleaf, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, July 5, 2021.
Linda was born on October 24, 1946 in Appleton, daughter of the late Fredrick and Mary (Spearman) Jahnke. She was a graduate of Appleton West High School, class of 1964. On September 25, 1971, she married Ronald “Ron” Giese in Appleton. The couple would have celebrated 50 years together. Linda was employed with Zwickers for 26 years until they closed, and then she worked part time as a Certified Nursing Assistant with Home Care until her retirement. Linda enjoyed birdwatching, gardening, and hunting in her younger years, and cards, shaking dice, auctions, going for car rides, and going out to eat later in life. She also enjoyed going Up North to Michigan to their cabin with Ron.
Linda is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ron of Greenleaf; their son: Scott Giese and his girlfriend, Jocelyn Shafran of Greenleaf; grandchildren: Alex, James, and Aleah; her beloved dog, Trigger; her siblings and in-laws: Bill (Mary) Jahnke of Greenville, Joyce (Mike) Van De Vyver of Briarton, and Carol Coenen of Darboy, Rae Marie (Lester) Gibson of De Pere; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law and mother-in-law: George and Elizabeth (Freeman) Giese, one brother: Gene Jahnke; and brothers-in-law: Robert “Bob” (Rose) Giese, Raymond Giese, and Donald Coenen.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 9 at Pielhop Wieting Funeral Home, 215 S. Main St. in Brillion. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Krueger with burial to follow at Brillion Community Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday evening, July 8 at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
