Obituary: Lorraine Helen (Buchholz) Bodart

Lorraine Helen (Buchholz) Bodart, age 92, De Pere, WI (former longtime resident of Brillion, Wisconsin) was called to her eternal home on June 23, 2023 (2 hours prior to her 93rd birthday).


Lorraine was born on June 24, 1930 in Nekoosa, Wisconsin to Richard and Helen (Freiburg) Buchholz. She married Cletus William “Clete” Bodart on September 5, 1953 in Green Bay. Lorraine was a graduate of Brillion High School. She also attended U.W. Green Bay and U.W. Madison, where she met Clete. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Brillion.


Lorraine proudly served as a U.S. Naval wife, packing and unpacking the family every 2-3 years, for 27 years. In 1975 she and Clete retired and moved the family for the final time back to Brillion where she lived for over 35 years before moving to De Pere. While in Brillion Lorraine was active in Brillion Homemakers, Christian Mothers & Holy Family Parish Choir. She was also an avid golfer and loved to play cards - cribbage, bridge, euchre & sheephead, to name a few. In addition she enjoyed reading, playing piano & going to the movies.


Survivors include a daughter Cindy (Phil) Pfeffer of DePere, a son Daniel (Jenny) Bodart of Grafton, four grandchildren Erin (Jeff) Piaskowski, Jenna Pfeffer, Bailey Bodart & Trevor Bodart and two great-grandchildren Simon Piaskowski & Kayla Piaskowski. She is further survived by a daughter-in-law Cathy, a nephew Jeff, two nieces Janice & Judi and a very special friend George Tochterman.


She was preceded in death by her husband Cletus, her son Michael, parents Dick & Helen, in-laws Bill & Hazel, brother Jerry and a nephew Joel.


Friends and family may gather for visitation at Ryan Funeral Home 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere from 10:00 AM Sunday, July 2, 2023, until time of service at 11:00 AM. Ryan Funeral Home is assisting the family. Please visitwww.ryanfh.com to leave an online condolence for the family.
