Lorrie A. Cummings, age 59 of rural Reedsville, died unexpectedly on her birthday, Thursday, November 14, 2024 at the AuroraBayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
Lorrie was born in Maple Grove on November 14, 1965 to Arthur and Bernadine (Zelewske) Ollendorf. She attended Reedsville Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1984 from Reedsville High School. On March 9, 1985 she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Jeffrey J. Cummings in Sheboygan. Lorrie worked for several years as a CNA at St. Mary's Home in Manitowoc; she then accepted a job with Ripco Credit Union in Rhinelander, WI as their loan processor, eventually moving to their Eagle River location to become the Branch Manager. She currently was employed with Community First Credit Union in Neenah, working as their Home Equity Loan Processor. Lorrie also worked at the Community Center in Brillion for several years.
Lorrie and Jeff enjoyed traveling; doing weekend road trips - antiquing and visiting many wineries. She also enjoyed gardening. Lorrie's greatest joy was the time spent with her beloved grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff Cummings; two sons & a daughter-in-law: Joe and Ashley Cummings of Reedsville, John Cummings (special friend, Amanda Bulitz) of Reedsville; her five adored grandchildren: Aubree, Kinlee, Emeree, Oaklee, and Shawn; Amanda's children: Chase (Paige) Bulitz and Gavin Bulitz; and her mother-in-law, Mary Ellen Kiel of Reedsville. She is further survived by three sisters & brothers-in-law: Mary (Jerry) Meissner, Terrie (Lenny) Jaskolski, Denise (Ivan) Konsela; and sister-in-law, Mary Beth (Don) Ollendorf-Bender; other brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law include: Patrick Cummings, Colleen Cummings, Sophia Cummings, R.J. (Erin) Mader, and Becky (Andy) VanDonelen; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Bernadine Ollendorf; brother, Bob Ollendorf; father-in-law, Donald Cummings; brother-in-law, Greg Cummings; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Cummings.
There will be a visitation held on Friday afternoon, November 22, 2024 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd. in Two Rivers. A funeral service will conclude the visitation at 3:00 p.m., led by Rev. Dave Pleier. Burial will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Maple Grove at a later date.
