Marlene A. Fischer, age 69, of Denmark, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Bellin Medical Center in Green Bay.
Marlene was born on November 20, 1946 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Harvey and Emily (Baroun) Fischer. She was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1965. Marlene was employed with a number of places. She started her career at Carsten’s Mill and Hardware Store, worked at a bank in Manitowoc, went on to work in the HR department at the Ariens Company, and most recently, she worked at Associated Bank in Green Bay where she retired from. Marlene loved jewelry and clothes, spending time with her friends and family, casino trips, and her cat Rusty.
Marlene is survived by two sisters: Shirley (Ray) Geiger of Brillion and Judy Fischer of Goodyear, AZ; nephews and nieces: Dave (Nancy) Geiger of Brillion, Donna (Joe) Bauer of Athelstane, Jodi (Darren) Vandehei of Oneida, and Jay (Stacy) Geiger of Brillion; great nieces and great nephews, other relatives, close friends: Debbie, Judy, Kay, Sandy, Bev, and Sylvia, and other friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and nephews and nieces: Quentin, twins: Emily and Josephine, Diane, and Jeff Geiger.
A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Wieting Funeral Home, 215 S. Main St. in Brillion. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Timothy Brandt. She has been cremated, and she will be buried with her parents at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Whitelaw.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m.
