Norbert was called home to be with the Lord and Savior on October 17, 2022, surrounded by his family.
Norbert Erwin Braun was born to the late Charles and Rose Fischer Braun on April 13, 1934. He attended St. Mary Catholic School and Brillion High School. On February 17, 1962 he married Florence Schuh at St. Mary Catholic Church in Reedsville. During their 60 years of marriage, they raised four children. Norb was a lifetime member of Holy Family Catholic Church (formerly St Mary Catholic Church) in Brillion serving on the Buildings and Grounds committee and ushering at services.
He was a workaholic who worked in the finishing department for 40 years at the Brillion Iron Works, retiring in 1998. His idea of fun was doing something on the farm. After working at the BIW everyday, he came home to farming. He started farming at a young age working his dad’s small farm. When he married, he continued working his Dad’s farm with his payment being milk, cheese, and butter for his growing family. He later on acquired his Dad’s farm which really made him happy to keep the land in the Braun family.
Norb had a good sense of humor and enjoyed bowling, polka music, playing sheepshead, his monthly men’s breakfast group, and the Sunday morning church breakfast with special friends.
