Obituary: Peggy Mae Shamburek

Peggy Mae Shamburek, age 69 of Brillion passed away Saturday evening, June 21, 2025 at her home.


Peggy was born on July 13, 1955, daughter of the late Herbert and Doris (Baier) Behnke. On April 26, 1985 she married Ronald Shamburek in Chilton. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2016. Peggy proudly worked at Ariens Co. until her retirement. She enjoyed her seasonal at S’more Fun in Waupaca where she spent time with family. She loved to collect Christopher Radko Christmas ornaments and enjoyed puzzles, word finds, Hallmark Christmas movies, camping, coffee and the cheesecake from Deer Run. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include a daughter: Brenda (Keith) Buchholz of Chilton, a son: Brad (Amanda) Shimek of Brillion; 5 grandchildren: Emily, Alexander, Hunter, Logan and Collin; three sisters: Susan (Ron) Kleinhans of Chilton, Sally (Blain) Keuer and Patsy (Dan) Geiger all of Brillion; one brother: Randy Behnke of Oshkosh; a sister-in-law: Janice (Larry) Zahorik of Reedsville, a brother-in-law: George Shamburek of Reedsville. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister: Karen Bissonnette; one sister-in-law: Betty Shamburek.

Private family services were held and Peggy will be laid to rest at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.
