Obituary: Phyllis M. Galoff

Phyllis M. Galoff, age 86, formerly of Brillion, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, April 24, 2025 at Care Partners in Appleton.


Phyllis was born November 25, 1938 near Phillips, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Michael (Josephine) Deall and Grace (nee-Knoblach) Deall.  She married Thomas R. Galoff, Sr. on December 2, 1961 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2011.  Phyllis worked for a time at Goodwill Industries with her husband, but then she stayed at home with her children and had an in home foster care.  Phyllis enjoyed ‘search a word’ games, playing dice, knitting with her granddaughter, and spending time with family.  Her faith was very important to her, and Phyllis often went with her friends for rosary prayers and homebound visits. 


Phyllis is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law: Tom (Brenda), Kevin (Amy), and Dale (Tina); grandchildren: Warren (Ashley) Rhoades, Nikolas (Olivia) Klepps, Krystal (Todd) Nenahlo, Amber (boyfriend, Ray) Klepps, Elizabeth, Ariel (boyfriend, Eddie), Katherine (fiance’ Dylan Berben), Levi, Samuel (girlfriend, Hannah), and Sophia (boyfriend, Bob); many great-grandchildren; two brothers: Dulley Deall and George Hollenbeck; one sister-in-law: Rosie; good friend: Sr. Cecilia; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas, Sr.; daughter: Sherry Klepps; sister: Lorelei; brother and in-laws: Lloyd (Eileen) Deall, Shirley (Roman) Penning, Helen Schwarz, and Doris Masech; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Walter & Rose (Lopatkiewicz) Galoff; and other relatives.


Funeral Mass was held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion.  Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial was Rev. Tom Pomeroy and Deacon Greg Van Thiel.  Burial was in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Brillion.
