OBITUARY: Richard (Dick) Allen Krueger

It is with heavy hearts we lost a husband, a father and a dear friend to many. Richard (Dick) Allen Krueger, a resident of Brillion passed away on Friday, May 27th at Garrow Villa


He was born August 21st 1941 in Sheboygan, wis. Son of the late Elmer and Hildegarde Krueger. He was a graduate of Sheboygan North High School where he was a star football player. On April 24th, 1965 he married his wife of 57 years, the love of his life, JoAnne(Poppe).

He served in the US Army for three years. He was employed the majority of his life in sales. In his later years he worked for Gannett and Zander Press delivering rural newspapers. He was a member of the American Legion. He was an avid fisherman of all sorts. You name it, he could catch it. Dick loved to golf, play cards of all sorts and loved to play blackjack at the casino's. He hunted pheasant with the beloved family Springer Spaniel Barnee. He loved to travel. He went on many family vacations through the years. He and JoAnne were snowbirds traveling all over in their motorhome with their beloved Yorkshire Terrier Snickers in tow.

Dick is survived by his loving wife JoAnne. His son Todd(Melanie) of Brillion, Daughter JoEllen(Jack) of Reedsville. He is further survived by stepchildren, step-grandchildren and other relatives and many friends.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, mother in law and father in law, one brother, two brother in laws, one sister in law and a niece.

A private funeral service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Kohler on Friday, June17th at 2pm. A celebration of life for Dick will be on Saturday, June 18th . For all of those who would like to pay their respects and share memories of Dick the family would love for you to join us from 1-5 pm at his son's home outside of Brillion at 24428 Taus Rd.

A special thank you to the staff at Garrow Villa. Dick was a handful but you made it clear he was a heartful as well. Also thank you to Compassus Hospice
