RIPON - The Reedsville football team punched its first ever trip to the WIAA state championship game with a 47-8 blowout win against Cashton in the state semifinal on Friday night at Ingalls Field in Ripon.

Quarterback Brennen Dvorachek rushed for two touchdowns, threw one touchdown pass and returned a kickoff 79 yards.

"Oh my god, it's so awesome, man. I can't even describe it," Dvorachek said after the win. "I can't wipe the smile off my face."

The Panthers led 14-0 before Cashton put together a 74-yard scoring drive with a successful two-point conversion. Cashton's momentum quickly disappeared with Dvorachek's long kickoff return to put the Panthers back up two scores.

The Panthers never looked back. Cole Ebert, Westen Liebzeit and Gavin Totten all scored touchdowns in the game. Reedsville's defense smothered Cashton's offense the rest of the way.

The Panthers will face Coleman at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison on Thursday, Nov. 18, at 10 a.m. in the Division 7 championship game.

Complete coverage of the state semifinal game will be featured in the print edition of The Brillion News.
