OSHKOSH – Some of the state’s top high school football players, all seniors who graduated this spring, got one last hurrah on the field on Saturday, playing in the three All-State Senior All-Star football games sponsored by the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association.

The 8-Man, Small Schools and Large Schools All-Star games were played at Titan Stadium on Saturday, and raised over $457,000 for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

Two Wrightstown players were among the athletes, and Wrightstown-Brillion Bellin Health athletic trainer Roland Schmidt was on the medical staff for the game and week-long camp.

How WHS seniors Bryce Herlache and Wyatt Van Rossum did on the field, and their assessment of the week of intense football, will be featured in a photo gallery and story in the July 20 print edition of The Brillion News.

The accompanying photo shows Van Rossum on a bench that is under spray from a sideline cooling mister and fan.
